God, I'm so excited about these characters. As a CSI fan, I'm all psyched about Matt's storyline because his finding-the-little-girl scene was very, very much like Nick's in Gum Drops.

And no fair answering with #5: Ideal Partner, 'cuz that's pretty obviously Sam. *g*

Well, incest is normally a mid-level squick for me, but... ..not in the Winchester brothers' case. They're just too damn perfect together, and the whole bizarity of their lives somehow makes it "acceptable" to my subconscious, or something.
But how can you not see the J2 love? Those two are all over each other, ALL the time. They have less concept of personal space with one another than the average boybander. Sharing breath-spray at the CW premier? Come ON! The part that sells me is the fact that neither of them seems to even notice, like having an arm around each other is the most natural thing in the world. Kripke's even commented on it, and it makes me squee. *g*
But as far as #5 goes, I just meant Sam&Dean are perfect partners in the setting sense (since they already are), not in a "pairing" sense. I'll leave it to you from there, just don't throw something at me I've never heard of, heh.

In the case of Jsquared, it's not so much that it's impossible as that it's boring to me. Two nice, well-adjusted, angst-free, openminded, liberal, and attractive dudes from Texas have feelings for each other. They hit on each other, have nice well-adjusted angst-free openminded liberal attractive sex, and fall in love in a nice well-adjusted angst-free openminded liberal way. Maybe they even, like, have a beer or something. To throw significant interest into the mix, you'd either have to write them out of character, put work into an actual plot (which people seem reluctant to do), write an AU (which a lot of people won't read), or give one or both of them issues with homosexuality (which readers seem to regard as either character-bashing or too controversial). That's why I like fic ( ... )
