Sometimes I think about how my life used to be, those nights we'd spend driving around and having fun doing nothing at all. At the time I couldn't think of anything else I wanted out of life than to live in that moment and laugh as much as I could while the nights lasted. i think the worst thing about having so much fun, is that it eventually has to end. like that summer we had after senior year; college came whether we wanted it or not. i'm sorry we spent so long looking for that summer, and i'm sorry it eventually drove our friendship into the ground.

some friendships are strong enough that when they crumble, the foundation still stands, and the trust can be rebuilt. thankfully, we were able to do just that. in the meantime, keep finding those things that make you happy. it's not selfish, and the people around you should understand and be willing to stick with you during those times.

That summer will go down in history, as the best i've ever known. As much as I want to try and recreate those days each summer I know that we can't. It will never be the same, but we can still continue to have fun, and we have. Lately I've become more aware that it wasn't the things we did, or the places we drove to back then, it was the company that made those times so memorable. I'm sorry last summer had to end the way it did. I'm so thankful our friendship was strong enough to withstand my stupidness, and allow for us to be able to make many more memories.
