rae came to visit this weekend! we bought each other christmas presents, ate some lebanese food, and decorated one awesome looking christmas tree.

reading outside until the sun sets, shopping for the apartment, nightly phone calls from the bestest friend a girl could ask for, making happy cupcakes with Suzi the homemaker,watching fireflies on warm nights with cute boys, and being a kickass intern are all things that consume my time lately, and i wouldn't want it any other way.

i don't think i had fully realized that summer was on its way until i was standing with my feet in the warm water. i couldn't help but be in awe of the way it sparkled in the sunlight. i don't think i have ever seen anything like it. but then again there are a lot of things i have yet to see. i would like to believe that is going to change though. i can't wait for the weather to get nice any longer. today i tried to pretend it was spring. i drove with the windows down until i couldn't feel my fingers anymore. i went to the mall and tried on all the new spring trends. it was fun while it lasted but, spring and feb.25th can't come soon enough!

i feel restless lately. i don't feel like doing school work yet, my classes are sucking already, and i miss home. i think i'm gonna spend as much time as possible sleeping in my comfy bed with my green sheets and my sheep blanket, listening to iron and wine and the lost patrol, and buying cups and dishware for my future apartment. i need something ( Read more... )
