Came across a reTweet from an acquaintance and it's a post from a mommy blog. Now, some mommy blogs are sanctimonious, hardest-job-on-earth WORSHIP MY PROLAPSED VAJAYJAY shit, and some are mildly amusing, but the one thing 98% of them have in common is that I have absolutely zero interest in their contents.

Well, this reTweet falls under that 2% on ( Read more... )

I think we've discussed this already, but I totally agree with you on most of these points. I DO fall into the "I really want a biological child" camp, but only so far as nature will allow. If for any reason I find out that that just isn't gonna happen, then adoption is completely my next choice.
Oh, and just in case you're interested, this IS one other mommy blog you might like to skim over. Or more specifically, and article from one. It's called "My son is gay." and actually discusses society/gender issues more than it talks about actual children. I just think it's a really good article in general, and something that you may find interesting.

Thanks for replying, M my dear. :) I don't mean to sound rude at all, but if you could (please don't take this condescendingly), can you explain why you would rather give birth to a child instead of adopting one? I mean, I'm trying to understand the mindset of basically choosing an option which doesn't help children who are already here and need homes. I'm sure that's a very negative way to see it but I can't think of any other way to phrase it from my perspective. There are six billion plus people on Earth and millions of those are unwanted children or orphans...why would you prefer to give birth?

Please don't take this as an indictment of your choices. I'm trying to see it from both sides but I'm having a hard time understanding the position.
