first of all: "who for all intensive purposes" -- intents and purposes -- tsk, tsk.

second, giiiirl. you're not over him. if we're looking at the stages of grief, i guess you're right about at, hm.. anger. :P things like this take time and the more effort you pour into them, the harder it gets. it's merely a matter of time. (says the girl who, i guess, is still not "over" her ex from 6 YEARS ago because his departure from her life has fucked her up and she thinks about him all the time.. though, at least, she doesn't feel squishy romancey feelings. just a hollow missing him.) anyway.. you're well on your way, but it's normal that it bothered you. it's normal to be mad but at the same time miss who he used to be. one day you'll be able to look back and really just feel chilled out about it, but it hasn't been that long yet. go easy on yourself. yeah?

thanks... your insights make me feel a bit better...

I think from now on I'll reduce how much I love and miss you to "L&MY"

L&MY L&MY L&MY L&MY

yeah, it's definitely normal to be thinking this way. A lot of times pushing something out of your head helps you get over it, but when there is a reminder like a song or a birthday it comes rushing back.
