Got my results back from the FTCE I took at the end of July. I'm now qualified to teach middle school math in the state of Florida, on the premise that I become certified as a teacher by the state of Florida in the next 3 years. My dad isn't telling our family friends that my dad cheated on my mom. My mom isnt friends with anyone that is trying to be there for my dad, so she gets somewhat of a slanderous depiction in some instances. I want to say something, but my dad is paying half of my monthly student loans. But I find it very hard to look at him knowing everything now.

I'm suddenly really lonely now that I've moved back to Jacksonville. Not sure how to deal with it at the present moment, or even if I really care all that much. We'll see.

I've been experiencing deja vu like crazy recently. I'm not entirely sure what time/instances in my life I'm recalling subconsciously, but they were pretty good times, because it's a very optimistic feeling that these bouts give me during and afterwards.. So.......everything's alright, I suppose. The parents are definitely not living together, but they still get along, from what I can gather. That's good, it allows me to not dwell on it so much. My dad called me just now to tell me that he and my mom are getting divorced after 25 years of marriage. Their "anniversary" is at the beginning of June. I'm not really sure how to sort out all of this right now, but it's a huge reality check: I really am on my own now.

I'm just now slowly coming to the realization that I may be cool to work somewhere other than Jacksonville. Other than my family and the Jags, there is nothing there for me anymore. This is a very new feeling, and I'm not sure how I feel, but I've been throwing my resume out there to places as far as Phoenix, Boston, and even Korea....but we'll see ( Read more... )

Timing is everything, and I just haven't seemed to get one goddamn break when it comes to timing in the last two years or so. Waiting for things to fit together is frustrating, especially when you realize that some of them will likely never fit in.

I'm entirely too stressed out. Moreso than any other single point in my life. I'm about to graduate college with a bullshit degree, in something that I'm interested in but would never work with, and $30,000 in outstanding debt. I don't know what I want to do with my life.
