Private investigator license

Did you know that in Washington state you have to apprentice under an already licensed PI to get your own license?

Pretty stinky.

I for one would be happy to "apprentice" under Magnum PI.

Maybe it's a safeguard against just any stalker hanging out a shingle . . . like the papparazi do, resulting in well-known unprofessional tactics. (Also, apparently anyone in WA state can call themselves a counselor if they take a few hours of AIDS training.)

This is not to say that I am unsympathetic to any difficulty you might have in persuading a private investigator they need an apprentice.

Wow really...a counselor? That's twisted.

At least we have PI exam people have to pass.

That's good.

So...are you aiming to be a P.I., for real? :) I don't remember reading the words explicitly here and am dying of curiosity.

Some states require you to be a licensed PI to do Computer Forensics. Not WA, but we might move. If there's an apprenticeship requirement, I probably won't...but then again. My instructor has his license, I wonder if he could be bought. ;)
It would be neat on one's resume.
