It helped that Billy was there.
"It's a nice day." he demured in response to Billy's question, nodding in greeting to the boy who had met them outside. "Hi. I'm Teddy." He lowered the hand he'd been using to shade his eyes and extended it towards the boy for a handshake.
He wasn't about to let go of Billy yet.

"...Does that make you Vision's uncle?"
"I believe it would, depending on how you'd consider relationships," Billy said in an off-hand manner as he climbed the last few steps and flung the door open. He stepped out into the well lit fourth floor hallway and made a bee-line to the nearest door. He could hear music thumping through the walls, and identified it quickly as Soundgarden.
Not a particularly good sign, but he wasn't going to leave until she opened the door.
He knocked twice. "Eliza?"
No answer.
Victor shrugged uneasily. "Depending on what internet rumors you believe... and the 'relationship' between the Visions, it could make me Billy and Teddy's uncle too." He looked to the others as Billy approached the door, lowering his voice. "Who's Eliza?"

"Absolutely not."
Billy sighed. "I could break the door down. I have powers. It wouldn't be hard."
"Bet you couldn't."
But the music inside was turned down, and the locks clicked open. The door swung open, and Eliza turned a full on scowl on the whole lot. "See? I'm fine. Not even bleeding from the eyeballs anymore."

Billy stood there, a slight, expectant smile on his face. Eliza's gaze returned to him, and she glared. His smiled got a little bigger, and she scowled. "Absolute not, Kaplan. Go away."
Billy tilted his head to one side, still smiling. Eliza continued to glare before making a disgusted noise and flinging the door wide. "I just put a pot of soup on if anyone's hungry," she announced, turning on her heel. "Can I get you all anything? Soda, tea, coffee, water, juice? Billy Kaplan if you say one word I WILL throw something at you"Wasn't gonna say a thing, Izzie," Billy said, stepping over the threshold and into the apartment. It was actually resonably large by New York standards, with a spacious living room taken up by an ancient couch and a very new TV and shelves of books and stacks of long boxes up against the wall. There was an alcove with a stove and a fridge that hummed noisily. In one corner was a computer, which had just finished asking the black hole ( ... )

"And then you can kiss what little secret identity you have left goodbye," Eliza said, again with that too-sweet voice.
"I've got a secret identity."
"Billy, dearest friend. Light of my life. Provider of so much entertainment. You don't wear a mask."

He had an uneasy feeling that would have led to some awkward situation eventually. He was sure of it.

Billy was still chuckling quietly on the couch.

He glared half-heartedly at the still laughing Billy. "And you can go to hell."

...Or maybe he didn't want to know.
He glanced up and over towards the door.
"Do you guys hear something?"

Billy finally stopped chuckling, but only by not looking at the cyborg at all. He followed Teddy’s gaze towards the door, frowning slightly, then looked to Eliza. The girl shrugged. “I hear something, but I don’t hear them, so it’s probably Cyrus.”
