i avoided them originally because of hype, but giving a listen, i think they are really good. i could take the cynical view and say "there is nothing new or exciting or good about this music" based on the fact that ive heard tons of music, but i also realize its an album that probably would have changed my life in 9th or 10th grade. now i just think its cool to listen to sometimes.

i like the way the boy singers voice quavers like a child conor oberst mixed with tim delaughter. i like the strings and instrumentation and songs. i like the apocalyptic song topics. i think they are a good band.
