Are good guys too 'scared' to leave a number? Probably not, but I don't think any guy really expects a call-back when he leaves his number on the table. Maybe the girl you work with is getting numbers left by a select group of people? I'm not saying that it "works"... in fact, if someone were to leave me a phone number I don't think I would call it unless we'd had a decent conversation while they were at my table. I just think that it's odd that I've worked in restaurants as long as I have and have not received a phone number, but she has gotten three in the amount of time we've both been working at Chili's. I wouldn't find it demeaning, but I suppose it depends on the woman and how the man was acting at the time... if he were acting arrogant or I thought it was a joke then it would maybe upset me.
In her defense, she does have a boyfriend and is very petite, but she does bleach her hair (to the point that it looks GREY) and seems nice at the same time kind of punk-ish and a little clueless, if that helps at all.
