Received the nicest present for my birthday this year, from Inui-sensei. Or should I say Sadaharu?

Still need to make a stop by the bookstore to pick up some things. Which reminds me, need to remind the students that their assignments are due at the end of this month, and that single work is allowed...

The school library doesn't stock Shakespere's work in its original language, how irregular! They do, however, have a rather large collection of recipe books. I'll have to speak to the librarian about this ( Read more... )

Had a near accident with a rouge tennis ball today. On the bright side, the student at fault seemed to be genuinely sorry about it. Kikumaru Eiji, a rather cheerful boy with interesting reading tastes. Must make a note to pick up I, Lucifer sometime. And look for a bookstore in town, prefably a second hand one.

So I'm here in Kyoto, posting before I collapse from jet lag. It's such a change from Singapore, a bit of a culture shock, really. I suppose adjustment is in order.

Alright, Hika seems pretty decent. The students appear to be from all walks of life, some playing tennis and even one... sleeping under a tree. Interesting.
