Last day...

The end of a workday and the end of the month and it gives me a moment to pause and think about what I've learned since I started working in the Hall of Justice. Tomorrow is the last day of my internship here. I didn't realize just how many cases that the courts settle before they even get to trial... probably 80%+ of the cases are settled before

That's always a possibility. I think you will come across a few people in your lifetime that could be right for you, but it really depends upon the time in your life that they enter. Sometimes you're ready, but they're not and vice versa. At one point... the timing is right and there's a meeting of the minds... and presto, instant love! Haha... okay, so it's not that simple.

i used to think there's only one soulmate in a person's lifetime. but now i realize that through time, there are people you come across with, whether you're in a serious relationship or just a fling, they are there to help you become a better person (or maybe not). but your path crossed and it may never cross again.

that's the attitude people should have! "ready when you're ready" =) that's how I think too. I'm not too down about being single, there are many good sides to it. When I see all my gfs getting married, bachelorette parties one right after another. I feel a little behind in my bachelorette life, but it's ok coz it'll happen when it happens. You're right all in good time =)

Thanks for the support Miss Trinh! I think this is the time for self-discovery and figuring out what you want out of life. Being single is the perfect time to accomplish this goal.

guess in a way, I'm approaching the stage in my life where friends start drifting apart to start their own families or make a larger dedication to their career paths.

welcome to the club. i've been battling this feeling for awhile now and i've finally come to the same conclusion, live life to the fulliest every day, one day at a time ... like you said, you're ready when you're ready so you just keep smiling and living as if today may be your last =)

Thanks Faith, it's nice to know that there many others like you that think and feel similarly. I'll work on the smiling part, but I will continue to live as if today might be my last. If you've ever watched the musical RENT... "No day but today."

You should definitely check it out! I was so into it, I would sing along to the entire CD in the car. If you go, definitely get good orchestra seats... very worth it.

Haha... Ms. Yu., you definitely crack me up. I'm aware of your anti-marriage sentiments and I respect them. While I'm not commitment phobic, I'm not ready to be married until I at least have a steady job and can support myself...not with student loans. :P At least young men across the United States can rest easy knowing that you'll be single for a long while to come...hehehe. ;P
