aww, poor pi. He must be getting less than 4 hrs of sleep per night for him to fall asleep during breaks, in the ring like that.

I can sense the apprehension of the first fan account. Let's hope Pi won't let AnJ fans down.

He always falls asleep on set though, he was seen sleeping on a park bench during Buzzer Beat filming too. And when he was a chibi, I think it was Shounen wa tori ni natta, he fell asleep during this really intense scene, with an oxygen mask on his face and everything.. XD But I agree he's probably being worked insanely hard.
I hope he wins over the fans of the original, one at a time.. Really really hope it ends up being a great movie.

LOL, what? That's hysterical. But then he has mentioned that he falls asleep really easily, and is usually made to work like crazy.

But LOL. I remember the cute picture of him sleeping on the Dragon Zakura set, too. I wish they'd take pictures of him doing that now.

I didn't want to see Ashita no Joe made into a live action film and become a laughingstock like Dragon Ball
:/ I can understand. Manga->Live-action adaptations rarely end well. Hopefully Pi&Co. can pull it off.

Pi falling asleep in the ring is a little worrying ... or maybe it's just another example of his 'my pace' personality xDD

I wonder if the mother made her son go to the filming. Hmm so fangirls probably figured out the location because of their sons/husbands. Thanks!

I can understand that.. I remember when I watched the Prince of Tennis live action movie years ago and being extremely horrified.. lol.. I guess fans of the original have their own interpretations, and it's really really hard to cater to their expectations. But I guess it's good the original fans are going in with low expectations, hopefully they'll be pleasantly surprised. XD
And I'm glad he's the type who can taking cat naps between scenes, otherwise there's just not enough time for him to rest!

Yamapi needs rest. If he's working this hard, I highly doubt any Ashita no Joe fans will have anything to be disappointed about when the movie is released.

I laughed at the mom! She's so cute the way she gets all excited! When she went to touch her son's hands after he told her he touched Yamapi, he had already washed his hands. The mom totally had her spirits shot down!!

Aww, but only fans of Yamapi care about whether he worked hard, fans of the original AnJ are not really going to go out of their way to find out, they only care about whether the end result does the manga justice.. I really hope they'll be satisfied with the end result..
The mom was hilarious, jealous of her own son. XD

I can imagine that the mother waited her son from filming eagerly. and perhaps she asked him about P even before tell him 'good job';
but bad boy, why he washed his hands, he must deprived of lunch the next day.

'it makes me think that maybe this person can actually do it.'
Really hope to gain this film acceptance from all original fans.

That mother and son, they were so hilarious.. He washed his hands, and did not save the Pi essence for his mom to indirectly touch. LOL
I hope the original fans will like it. Actually, I really hope there are a few original fans on set to advise them, better to be brutally honest and pick it apart now than when the movie is actually released..... Ganbatte Pi-chan!
