A bit of good
Well, some good has come from the death of my cherry trees. A friend of my Grandson has a smoker. He wants the wood from the trees to smoke something. He's promised us some cherry smoked chicken in exchange for the wood. Sounds like a deal to me. -
Storm
We had a really bad wind storm last night, not a tornado as the winds were more or less straight, and a bunch of rain on already soaked ground. As a result of that, my two decorative cherry trees blew down. They're more than 10 years old but down they went. Poor trees. There's no saving them as they are entirely uprooted. Finished
I just finished my latest Tony!SEAL story. Now comes the part I'm not that fond of; letting it cool for a few days before I reread it. Then, I'm not that fond of the proofing process either. Knitting for new year
I was talking with an older friend and commented that I wasn't casting on a new project on New Years day this year. She blinked for a second then said, "Oh, my! Never cast on a new project on New Year's day, it's very bad. All you'll do all year is start things. You should finish a project so you'll be finishing everything." Never thought of that. -
2016
I hate this year. So many stars gone too soon. Others, older ones, people I grew up with.
And on top of that, I'm getting sick. Chills, joint aches, stuffy nose and a headache behind my eyes.
So ... Fuck this year. Fuck it, I say. I'm staying up late just to watch this fucker die. -
Wilderness Survival
Because LJ is a wimp this didn't cross post ... so.
The team is up for wilderness survival training. In other words, someone is going to pick them up off the streets and dump their sorry ass in the out back of nowhere. Unfortunately, Jimmy gets caught in the mix.
