Old, Broken

Jun 11, 2008 15:46

The hip problem I'm been suffering for the past few months turn out to be due to an ``obviously'' herniated L4-L5 disk (I should see if I can get copies of the MRI). I'm scheduled for back surgery next Monday.

(oops, it was L4-L5)

I really appreciate the well-wishes from everyone. Thank you.

P.S. I do intend to use this as yet further proof that I am now officially Old.

You're not old!

I hope it goes as well as it can, and that you recover swiftly.

Dude, you're not old. I'm not old yet, so you can't be old.

Seriously, good luck.

let me know if you are interested in alternate possibilities. i nearly went in for surgery and later discovered that disk condition and pain do not correlate nearly so tightly as one might expect.

this is not as floofy as it might seem:

nonetheless: good luck!
