Hey - to answer your question:

No, I have not read that particular fic - sounds interesting from the way you describe it, though...

I went looking through my old GW bookmarks trying, not only to find out which ones are still around, but to also find ones with a big fanfic archive.

Those may or may not help - I have no idea how recently they've been updated. If the fic you're looking for is brand-spanking new, they may not have it.

that might help... I'll check the links as soon as I can. I have no idea when the fic was written... I think I first read it about 6 months ago or so.
Anyway, thanks for the help. not being able to remember where the fic is is driving me mad. oh well, c'est la vie.

but of course I'll respond... other well-written fics? hm. well, let me see. if you have a restrictedsection.org username (really easy to get, and they make no demands.), then I'd look up the author Beren. he also has an insanejournal beren-writes.insanejournal.com here. I just love the fics that are on restricted. also, both the ion arc and the roadtrip arc by sunhawk are very good. extremely angsty, and not nice to duo, but. hmm... what else... I feel like I know of others out there, but can't think of them at the mo. anything by littlemouse, obviously. she's pretty kick-ass. anywho, hope that tides you over for a few days. I'll try to think of others, but... for now, that's all i got.
