Dye-pot DISASTER!

It was horrible!!!!! I tried handpainting for the first time and it was a disaster--i failed!! Dye everywhere, except on the wool....I have no idea why, but the dye just would not soak the roving. Luckily it all went straight through so I could just smear it around in it and get some color. see:

Ah, generations of yarn, how close to nothingness I estimate your life to be! What spindle, what spindle wins more of happiness than enough to seem, and after seeming to decline? With your fate as my example, your fate, unhappy wool, I say that nothing pertaining to yarnkind is enviable ( ... )
