The Xbox 360 pro is getting a price drop in a few weeks. $300 (down from $350), with a bigger 60GB hard drive. Something to keep in mind.
I picked up a 360 when GTA4 came out, and I'm glad I finally did. The Wii just wasn't cutting it anymore. It's fun with some friends, but the 360 just has a lot more quality games. I do want to get Boom Blox though.
As for the used one, I dunno. I made sure to go new because I know the 360 has a tendency to crap out (red ring of death), and though Microsoft covers that with their warranty it'd be nice to have a receipt. And the used ones at GameStop don't even come with a hard drive so they'll end up being even more expensive than a new one. Definitely buy from a person rather than a store if you're going used. If it's in good shape that's not a bad deal, save you $100. But personally I'd wait a few weeks and get a new $300 one.
You make a lot of good points. >_< I already played Zelda TP on gamecube, and while it WAS an awesome game, I probably wouldn't buy it again just to play it on wii, you know?
I'll have to give this more thought. But thank you for your informed opinion! I can be really bad when it comes to monetary decisions. @_@
