So, it seemed that whenever we were on a bus in Peru there was this song playing that was really awesome. And I mean really. I was singing along one time when I was informed that it was an Israeli song about having the courage to stand up and be proud to be gay. If anyone knows a link to the Peruvian charts, you could use that. Was it played a lot? It might be listed in their top 100 or something.

If you know some of the words you could try a google search along the lines of lyrics "lyrics here", and then download any likely candidates.

Ahoy there... I think the song you speak of is Pluma Pluma Gay, aka Marica Tú. Assuming these words sound familiar?
"Fiesta fiesta, pluma pluma gay ...
Que importa si el niño sale gay, tu has nacido gay, aunque cueste hay que gritarlo, SOY GAY!"

Which is essentially something like (and since I don't know much Spanish, it could be bad):
Celebration celebration, [something to do with feathers] gay ...
[something to do with the boy] gay, you have been born gay, [you must] shout it I AM GAY!"

That would be hilarious if there were 2 such songs floating around out there..

Gay-themed-Israeli-pop songs are right up there for me..
