Well, I survived the Big Family Gathering Weekend - had to take a few timeouts to catch my breath and let the social anxiety settle, but seeing and spending time with my immediate family was nice and I think ultimately good for me.

Empty spaces
I don't think I've really existed in the last week.
On Monday, like a tsunami, a giant wave of depression washed over me. If a tree falls in a forest with no one to hear, and it doesn't make a sound, then I wasn't much of a person in the last five or six days. I've reached that stage of my cold where my nose feels like sandpaper and I am physically repulsed by myself and how much snot my body is able to produce.
Plus I can feel this thing starting to sliiiide down to my lungs, and that never ends well for me.

1. Tomorrow's a public holiday, so today feels like a Friday.

Well, the fridge died.
Which I discovered this morning when I went to get some ice and got water. Of course, it *would* die right when I received a grocery delivery - thankfully not *too* much fresh food requiring refrigeration, but there was plenty already in the fridge that now needs to be thrown out.
