I just wanted to update...I got the position for temporary Home/School Advisor at Myers Elementary School in Portage. I will be working there from the beginning of the school year until mid-November. I am now officially a B.S.W.! Graduation was really nice, though long as expected. We had a get together at my house afterwards with my parents and grandparents, Kevin, and his parents. So I got the dreaded letter today. I didn't get the job. After nearly 3 months of anticipation, nothing. I guess I got my hopes up too high. Now I basically have to be desperate.

This makes graduation less exciting, but I suppose it is all part of being an adult.

What a buzz kill...

This semester has been pretty nice as far as workload. I only have two finals, one of which requires no writing, only an informal discussion. I can't believe that the only work left for me to do before I graduate is an English final! That's it! Everything else is done! I finished up my internship yesterday. It was such a nice way to end. Job update: My interview with FYSB went pretty well, but they decided to go with someone who has more case management experience. It was almost a relief to know I didn't get it, which is a good sign that it wasn't the job for me. The elementary school in Union Township FINALLY called me back for an interview! Woohoo! So I randomly applied to Family and Youth Services Bureau by dropping off my resume YESTERDAY. I just checked my voicemail and they already want to set up an interview!
