I think a fascinating PHD thesis could be "How the hell can Derrick screw up his computer this bad" with an area of emphasis on possible solutions for improving the functionality of a Derrickified machine. Whaddya think?

I'll run it by my advisor, but I doubt he'll agree. A better topic may be how to design a computer that is Derrick resistant.
