Risk and Stuff

July 4th started off slow. For most of the day I was reading or doing work, but by evening the day quickly improved. I headed over to TADs (aka DATs) with Patrick (pach00ey) and Christian. I believe the record will reflect that red team violated the cease fire, even if they stuck to the terms of the treaty. It was de facto war, even if not de jure.

Anyway, the game was lost for red team not when we broke the treaty, but when we signed it.

Sigh... no sense arguing with a lawyer, it simply a game.

Next time I'll just have to get the treaty on paper :-)

Ack... Axis and Allies TOO complex? The more complex the better! :) I need to see if I can get my hands on A&A and change your opinion.

Ok, let me explain further...

Complicated = Longer, which means I had to whine more to get my brother to play longer. However, usually the game ended in a sudden earthquake hitting Long Island causing a shift in the balance of power.

Now, if you get your hands on it, I'd be happy to re think my position that Risk is a better game. Note, that I never said A&A was bad, its still a great game.
