relationships-- be them only on the brink of starting or at the very bitter end-- are hard... expectations, needs, desires, fears, hopes... they all carry you on a wave of emotion. just try to stay in the game and know that eventually you will find someone who is on the same page as you and will stick for the long haul. that person is out there, its just a matter of being open to finding them and when you do, all will be good. of course, this is coming from an eternal optimist, so my word is biased =P
AJ, I believe this is the purpose of being just friends first. Thus the person realizes what a great find you are, therefore is more apt to build the relationship. And, for the added bonus, it starts out as the whole just friends thing and just hanging out. Open communication is the name of the game! ~_^ Of course, I'm just way more blunt then most people...
Dating can suck, especially if you weren't GOOD friends before and AFTER you like them you're TRYING to hang out a lot. It'll be hard, but not THAT hard, you're a cool dude....:3
