While job-searching is a fun activity, I need something to do in the off-time. Still living in Dedham, don't really feel like playing WoW too much (played a LOT in L.A.) and the weather in New England is too gross right now to inspire any sort of physical activity ( Read more... )

If you've never read Buttercup Festival, now would be a good time

Also, Scott C.'s Double Fine Action Comics comic is a lot of fun:

Have you watched Brad Neely's wizard people on youtube? If not, I highly recommend doing so. Also I support the dude above's buttercup festival recommendation.

p.s. Hi Steve! I hope New England is treating you well.

If you haven't read Something Positive you might like it. Kind of a quirky sense of humor, but days worth of archives.

You could torrent some Star Trek? Always kept me happy.

I think I read SP and found it grating after a while. I might check it out again though.

Never been a huge Trek fan. TNG is IMO the best of the bunch, but I'm just not as keen on the shiny heroism of the show. Anyway, I have my Netflix queues going, but too much TV makes me feel sluggish anyway.

The more I think about it, the more I may just bite the bullet and start running. It's supposed to be relatively cool in the next few days anyway.

Exercise is good.

If you haven't watched much DS9, you might want to check it out. Much better than TNG (which is saying a LOT) and probably the best plot-line of any of the series.

Maybe read some more? You'd be surprised how a good pulp-fiction sci-fi novel can make the time fly by in an enjoyable manner.

You should read A Thousand Splendid Suns, Water for Elephants, and Anansi Boys. As far as running goes, you either have to do it before 8 or 9 a.m. or it will be too hot or wait until 8 p.m. and wear reflectors/lights. If you go to the beach after 6 or 7, most people have gone home and it is cooler, less humid and better for running. Better yet, stick to a very fast walk--better for the knees. Maybe we can get you a deal on a bicycle.

The good thing about reading is that you can go sit in B&N or the library where it is cool. Librarians are also great people. You might want to become one although your handwriting screams "LAWYER." But your spelling is, like, too good to be a lawyer these days.

Haha, I didn't realize you play WoW... my roomate at law school plays that game non-stop. It's a very bad addiction.
