I have to admit that the one Christmas present that I (and Ronette since we got the same thing) opened and thought to myself "oh you shouldn't have, really you shouldn't have" is beginning to be one of my favorites. Ronette's parents gave us Slankets - the blankets with sleeves. Of course, it was pointed out that she bought these out of Skymall and ( Read more... )

My aunt got her man one of those and she made a HUGE deal to say that it wasn't the $19.95 one... she paid more and got his initials on it. She kept telling him that you put your arms in the sleeves and stay all warm and cozy. Well, the one she bought him doesn't have arms. It's just a blanket with a bottom for your feet to go in so they don't get cold.

Ah yes, she messed up again. ;) She doesn't look at things after she orders them for people.

I joke that I have modified mine. I stick my feet in the arm holes or wear it backwards like a robe.

Poor thing. I guess messing up gifts is what she does.

I think I would wear it like you do! haha!

And yes, messing up gifts is what she does. One year she got me a lovely sweater. I really liked it because it was my style and everything (usually it isn't if it comes from her) but it was about six sizes too big. There is a picture of Joe and me wearing it at the same time and we could have fit a third adult in there with us. She'd ordered it from the Lane Bryant catalog or something but never took it out of the plastic bag it arrived in. I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh. :) Yes, we laughed.

LOL! You should totally post that picture.

Are you sure we don't have the same aunt? Growing up, mine bought clothes for me for Christmas all the time. And she bought things I liked, but always 3 sizes too big. Yeah, I was bigger than my cousins, but not that much bigger.
