1. Wicked- I love this word because I tend to use it a lot. Its basically a New England things and people always figure out I am from the area when I say it. Whether I am saying , “That’s wicked cool” or “That test was wicked dumb” I use the word. There seems to be no real definition of the word the way us New Englanders use it. Many of stories from “Writing about the World” really struck me. The most interesting quote I found was in A Letter to a Friend by Jon Stallworthy. In the last line of his poem he states, “In the sloganed wall people pass, A window - not a looking-glass”(Stallworthy, 307). This quote really got me to think about the meaning of the poem.
