*hug* god. you know, it would probably be helpful for me and P to be able to hang out with you and mistletoe right about now. Y'know, if we weren't... all... divided across the country, and stuff.
err, thanks for the feedback, although I don't know how to say this... I didn't really set out thinking of it as writing "poetry" so much as an expression of how I was feeling at the moment, in a condensed amount of words so I wouldn't have to bother writing an entire entry. I'm just sorta going through some shit right now, and I don't usually care to leave out explicit details on the LJ smorgasbord of drama...so...It came out like that, but I didn't bother editing or worrying about whether it was fit to read. You're definitely right though; if I had intended this as actual poetry, it would be very emo and not contribute much to the world of writing in general.
Where did the whole skin-attacking meme come from, anyway? It seemed to start all of a sudden and then WHAM, everyone and his granny had razors and inexplicable angst, the only medicine for which was cutting.
I know many people who do that. I know one girl who does, literally, sand and scrape at her skin, among many other awful things involving razors and stuff. I don't get it. She also spends a great deal of time on makeup and making herself pretty, but she does these horrid things to her arms when she feels miffed.
I had a friend the other day tell me that the whole cutting thing was started by HAARP.
HAARP? as in, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program? As in, "no, we don't control the weather, whatever would make you think that?" HAARP? *lol* o-kaay. "HAARP! Now with 30% more Emo-rays! They don't call it a 'Tropical Depression' for nothing

I think society needs less of this meme and not more.
