LJ does make me sad sometimes... what LJ did to itself AND how it's a bit quieter these days.... :/
Still a regular here though... maybe 30 readers instead of 200... but as you said.. "Now, as I'm typing I remember things better, so I fill in details, who else I went with, met, talked, etc, and I got so wrapped up in trying to gather every fact (since if I left anyone out I'd feel shame that I forgot them), that I left out the most important part. HOW I FELT. How things affected me" .... That kinda thing just can't happen on Twitter... and Tumblr is just LiveJournal without any of the Cut-Tags, so if I try to read that, it's overload city.. maybe get through TWO Tumblrs in a night .. ;P
I weesh I'd gotten to see ya at FC too... I will always have great memories of the days we did get to chat in person ^v^ ... and I did get to hear of your and Croc's good times from other people who saw ya..

It was pleasant to see you at MFF! But you seemed a little haggard, so I didn't linger too long, which is probably no loss on your end; you don't know me that well anyway.
One of the fondest moments I had at FC this year was just talking in the hotel lobby with you and Scruff E about fursuiting. Those are the little moments that keep me coming back to cons.
I've found a very comfortable place here on LJ. So much of my life is here (almost a quarter of it) that it is such a useful tool in documenting all of the events I want to remember.
As for Twitter dumps...yeah. Those are really annoying, but I have only dropped one person because of them. When all you have to say is retweeting things that other people are saying, your LJ becomes worthless to me.
That's a big, memorable part of cons I want to hang onto. And it's hard to remember exactly who or what but I do remember it was good seeing you after such a while. Scruff E. and I were caught in his Coyote Trap, by the upstairs rest room. I went to tell him one thing, which took me an hour to get through, but oh all the people who came by!
Yippee, we MUST meet in "my" (as you say - I thought is was "our") Coyote Trap again sometime! Heh, you were there for only an hour, I got trapped there for OVER TWO hours . . . but loved every minute of it!!
Sabot, that "moment" (as you say - for me it was over two hours) in the Marriott lobby upstairs was AWESOME! And I'm like you, it's those private talks or meals or drinks or parties or other fun things that keeps me returning to certain furry cons as well!!

By total coincidence, right now I just happen to be watching Joe Strike's video that he took at ConFurence 4, and found a very enthusiastic young Bunnell in the Artists Alley!
I'm pretty sure there is an irony to be found somewhere in this. All this talk of wanting to experience cons the way the younger you did, while simultaneously acting ashamed of the younger you? :) I don't think you can have it both ways!
