Okay, I'll be honest. I clicked this completely randomly to kill time while I unwound for bed, and with (at least the way I looked at the description) was completely prepared for gratuitous angst-slash, especially when it started with references to Ed and Roy sleeping not too far from one another...

I'm very glad this wasn't, and I was very, very pleasantly surprised! :D You did a nice job of capturing the characters and the environment around them, their interactions, and their reactions. (And no hating on slash writers, but I just see so much of it....)

And one other comment: "his fucking father figure since the age of twelve"
I copied this over to a good friend of mine, with whom I have had many discussions on the father/son relationship between Roy and Ed and how often it seems to go unnoticed... you made my night and cinched me loving this with your portrayal of that dynamic, THANK YOU!
