I also prefer the first anime... I haven't finished Brotherhood yet, but it's just too much for me. I still plan to finish it, but I just liked the first anime in how it focused so much more on Ed and Al's story, and in Brotherhood there's just all of these characters coming in and some huge war, and Ed and Al are supposed to save the world or whatever... So far I think it's stayed mostly true to his character, but he sure has gone through a LOT, and I get a little tired of seeing him suffer in the anime. Except in excellent fanfic, because I do like angst.

Anyway, long and rambly sentences aside, I'm looking forward to the next part here. :D

askdlfjas I sincerely love pretty much all of your fic, and this is no exception. While I don't mind yaoi fic m'self (though less so in FMA than in other fandoms), the issues of the legality and social acceptance of homosexuality constantly come up in my mind. Most fic writers just write as though it's generally acceptable, but I love that you tackled the difficult, complex issue head on in this fic! Everything about this fic is so well done; you've done such a fabulous job of pinning the characters down in this kind of context that I could easily see this being an issue in an alternate canon.

SO BASICALLY I ADORE THIS, and you are so awesome, and I sincerely look forward to reading more!! ♥

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed. ♥ Honestly, I had to grow into yaoi, but I'm definitely a fan now. XD I'm just not a very good writer of shounen-ai, and it's hard to establish yourself as a fan after years of dithering around it. I mostly wrote this because I always took issue with Roy and Ed just sort of falling into each other -- both of them being gay and everything just working out. I hope I'm doing the issues justice.
