Let's say the reason Superman is avoiding Superboy is that he took one look at the kid and all his Kryptonian instincts started screaming "oh my god it is a member of our species for the first time ever WE MUST RUT FURIOUSLY". Being the stand-up guy he is, Clark is not okay with ravishing a sixteen year/four month-old version of himself, and the situation is not helped by the fact he's never actually been attracted to anyone on a biological level before. He decides metaphorically covering his ears, squeezing his eyes shut, and singing "LA LA LA" at the top of his lungs is his only option here, and it kind of works except when the kid goes and gets in the middle of his rescues looking all sexyfine in black and his symbol dammit. But otherwise, no, it totally works.

Until Clark runs into some red Kryptonite. You know, that stuff from Smallville? That totally fucked his inhibitions, and made him act like a superdick? A superdick who really wanted to get laid

I love that you took the time to explain Clark's sexuality and history and the inherent doom in it all. I love it when people have characters arguing with the different faucets of their personalities XD Probably because I do it myself but I really shouldn't be admitting that even anon.

I always feel just a tincie bit wrong reading stuff like this, but I can never stop reading when it's good. Curses, this meme will have me in hell when i die. Still we're all going there so we can continue it for all eternity.

How did I start on that tangent? Perhaps I need more sleep myself.

Clark hovered in the hazy zone between waking and sleeping. He felt languid, warm and comfortable. There was a lean muscular body pressed up against him and that was nice, but just too much bother to open his eyes and figure out who it was. But he did roll over to give his bedmate’s exploring fingers better access

The shower didn’t help. Clark couldn’t stop remembering the boy’s hands, taste, body. Remembering was much worse than imagining, much harder to stop. He had to think about something else

Robin jumped for the comm station at the sound of an incoming call. Superboy appeared on the screen, scowling, dressed in a too large tee-shirt and his pajama pants.

“Superboy! Everyone’s worried about you!” Robin exclaimed.

“Superman told me to call,” Superboy explained. “He said I’m not doing things wrong but I don’t believe him. Things were good, finally. He was paying attention to me. Then he got all strange. I did something.”

“What's going on?” Robin asked as he punched a few buttons to tie Batman into the call.

Superboy shrugged. “You like words,” he said. “You can help. He got sick when I didn’t know the right name for things. What am I supposed to call pressing mouths together?”

“I, I think you mean kissing,” Robin said uncomfortably.

“Do you have freedom of motion?” Batman demanded.

“Yes.”

“Canary and I are en route. I want you to go open the door for us immediately. Block it open as best as you can. Then call Robin back and stay on the line. Our ETA is twenty-five minutes.”
