Superboy starts showing signs of developing super speed. Wally helps him, but in the process takes greater notice of how deeply Superman's neglect has hurt SB. The speedster then proceeds to make him a part of his own family.
Would prefer this to have no pairings but this anon would not say no to any hints of SB/MM, SB/Robin, or Roy/Wally.
Bonus:
- the Garricks acting as doting grandparents
- KF having to convince a jealous!Robin that SB is not taking his BFF status or that KF is not trying to 'steal' Superboy
- SB incorporating more red and yellow into his wardrobe
- SB and KF have better in-battle synergy. Batman approves.

...I am ashamed to admit that I didn't even think about the Rogues reaction to the 'adoption'. Dear author, you have made my day week! Not to mention two parts already? I feel so spoiled! <3

So he does what he does best, next to running, he talks.
A lot.
He talks about Supey to his mom and dad, to Aunt Iris and to Uncle Barry. He talks to Grandpa Jay, Grandma Joan, Uncle Hal, Uncle John, Captain Cold, Heatwave, Trickster and Piper.
He spends about five minutes talking to a reporter lady when she asks him a question about it. He probably would have talked to her more but for once Uncle Barry was dragging him away ( ... )

He's also good at the whole intelligence gathering thing.
So now they know that Supey's started showing the first signs of superspeed. And sense Superman still has a piece of kryptonite shoved up his ass who makes more sense to help teach him then the Flashes ( ... )

The first people on the scene are one's that want to contain Superboy like Black Canary and Red Tornado. Except it's a lot harder for them to contain Superboy than it is for Superboy to do serious damage. By the time back up arrives Black Canary has suffered a broken leg and Red Tornado is missing an arm.
It's Superman that knocks Supey out and to be honest Wally doesn't really want to know all the options that they were considering. The only idea he heard about was having J'onn completely wipe his mind, leaving it blank from everything, including Cudmus's surprise. That alone is enough to turn his stomach.
He does know that Uncle John, Uncle Hal and Uncle Barry were all on Supey's side. More than that he knows that Grandpa Jay arrived not long into the discussion and flat told all of them that they were going to save Supey and that to do anything else they'd have to go through himGrandpa Jay isn't in the league and he' ( ... )

Aww, yay! The 'adoption' is more or less official! Part 4 left me had me worried for a moment there, but sometimes there needs to be a bit of conflict just to bring everything together :D

And yah, pretty much the purpose of it was to get the Flashes to close ranks around Superboy.
