Well this is different. Super!toddler and Mommy!Kaldur mozzarellaroses May 15 2011, 20:59:38 UTC

Inspired by an odd fic where someone said Kaldur and Robin were like Superboy's mother.
And it kind of escalated from there. SO,
I want an AU fic where Kaldur is a single parent raising an adorable, woobly little awkward child Conner, who is fiercely protective of his daddy (or mommy, in his mind).
Optional: Kaldur dates someone and Conner tries in his little ways to test this strange newcomer.

Bonus points if the strange newcomer is Roy.
Double bonus points for Conner's favorite Uncle Wally coming over all the time when Kaldur's busy. Tripe bonus points for Aunt Megan, who brings him cookies.

Pairings can be anything, but my mind says Dick/Wally and M'gann/Arty. Of course, it's the OP's choice and I'm happy with anything :D

Kaldur met Roy in a supermarket in the downtown area of Central City. Cliche as it was, they crashed trolleys while turning a corner. Kaldur had blinked, bringing up his gaze from his list to see a slightly muscled man, dressed in tight jeans and a sleeveless hoodie, with pale skin and hair just on the red side of ginger. It took a bit of effort but Kaldur managed to pull his eyes from the man’s arms to meet angry green eyes. But as soon as their eyes met, the anger seemed to seep out of the strangers face and he coughed awkwardly ( ... )

It took Kaldur a good two hours to get home, unpack his shopping and tidy the mess he had left in the kitchen before leaving for an early shift at work that morning. He gave himself half an hour to sit down before he shoved his shoes back on and walked down the block to pick up Conner from Wally’s. Kaldur and Wally had met at the gym, just after Kaldur had moved to Central, around three years ago now, then they had met again on the street between their two flats. He was just coming back from signing the last form, making Conner legally his, and Wally was the first person he was able to introduce the baby to as his son. Wally was immediately cooing down at the baby, who gave a small giggle, the first laugh Kaldur had heard from him. Kaldur had already promised the title of god-father to his friend Garth, but Wally was definitely the favourite uncle ( ... )

This is absolutely adorable and I love it. Kaldur is making an excellent mommy and I love Uncle Wally.

Omigosh, as mother of an adorable doodly toddler, I am so happy to read this fill, it makes me feel all mushy inside.

Also, it's Kaldur-centric, and we don't have anywhere near enough of those, and I really like seeing Wally and Kal interacting. :3
