It has been almost a year since I posted last and let me just say what a crazy year it has been. I am glad that it is over and a new one has begun. I have been through a lot relationship wise. Welcome back! Glad to hear that things are looking up. I'll be the second person to tell you that time spent on healthy introspection is never time wasted. (I'm sure Jamie was the first one to tell you that) :)

I think you idea sounds fine. I did something somewhat similar by not buying computer hardware for a year. Now, you might think that's a stretch for a comparison, but reallly, it's what I call an exercise in curbing desire, and it turns out that that can be quite good for you. Like a spiritual fasting of sorts.
