I'm contemplating getting older (go figure!)

Had dinner with my Dad tonight, just him and me. It was a nice little "non-birthday dinner"* in which he gave me a lovely white gold bracelet (the birthday present) and paid for dinner at The Summit - bringing back memories of dinners at their old location when I was a teenager and my parents were ( Read more... )

Happy Birthday, Yndy! And yes, I believe in the whole 'act young, be young' thing. My Grandma is 84 and still bouncing around to the point the rest of us have to try and STOP her from doing stupid stuff...like climbing on the roof to clean the gutters...thankfully, we convinced her to hire a friend of my brother's to do that since grandma only has one arm that truely 'works' correctly. But my grandma still works in her garden with her exploding tomato plants...I expect any time to receive a bushel of tomatoes...as a single person I don't need a bushel of tomatoes!

I work with the public and see people who tell me they are 58 so they have 'one foot in the grave'..and I am SHOCKED because these people to me look like they are in their late 70's or older. Then I had another customer who was bouncing all around who I guessed to be in his 70's because he was bald...turns out he is 95!

Attitude, it is all about attitude.
