The US standard of beauty can suck it

Lately I've been doing this thing in my head where I go around in circles debating on whether or not I should buy a new wardrobe. I think fashion industry-wise, that girl is plus-sized, but just barely, and obviously she has "perfect" proportions so you barely notice she's not a stick figure.

I'm punching the air in triumph at your badass decision! I know I'm always caught up in that cycle myself, of I was when I was younger and less ready to stick my rolls to the man.

God I miss Lane Bryant. In Paris if you're over size 38 (American 10 or 12 I think) you either have to wear ponchos and baggy clothes to hide your body or order nice clothes in your size off the company's website, meaning you don't get to try things on. As for bras, I'm pretty much back at DD now, which is French E, and I can't find ANYTHINGggggg. It makes me feel like a circus freak.

wow, size 10 or 12 is considered that big there? That's crazy.

Also, having big boobs is the one good thing about being bigger, so having DD's never gets me down. lol

I think it's ok to have the smaller plus-sized models, because they sell a pretty wide range of plus-sizes, but they should also have some people at the other end of the spectrum.
