I pretty much stopped updating this journal when my mom died. She was the one reading it the most. She died on Good Friday, March 29, 2013. Gavin was just shy of his 1st birthday, getting ready to have his first Easter. I think I talked to her for the last time the Tuesday before. It's hard to believe Gavin is 11 Months+ now. Soon he'll be a year old! His personality comes out more and more each day. He loves to babble and zoom around with his walker. He'll ditch it and just run around soon. He eats more table food these days, but not too much, still only has two teeth.

Three in one day! Let's see if I can keep it up. Gavin will walk quite a lot holding our hands, but he does not let go yet. He's pickier about some foods, and not feeding himself much yet. We just keep trying. He crawls all over and is beginning to climb a little, when there's something he can try to climb on. I love it when he crawls over ( Read more... )

I'm very much going to try to keep up with this. Gavin grows so quickly, I have to! He loves to stand. It seems as if he's going to walk any time now. It would be nice if he would sleep through the night, but hey, I guess you can't have it all. How does time go so fast? I'm not sure. But as things head into the holidays it's even more busy, complicated by the face that the boy seems to be a disease vector. Working full time and having a baby keeps you busy! But busy in a good way. It really makes you appreciate weekends. We used a couple of our weekends to go to Rainbow events, one in San Jose and one in Reno. It was good to go to Reno because we got to spend the whole of a Saturday with Colin's BFF Wayne.
