Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. However, the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
If you think about it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?

Well, and physically impossible. I mean, I really doubt my dad would want me to pour myself into him.

I guess if I was a part of a soup, then maybe.

Well, I suppose you could relate this to anyone of any importance to you. Not just family.
It's just something I struggle with all the time: resenting the fact that the company demands so much of your time and energy thanklessly and in that mess we forget what is important to us.

Well, on a serious note, any endeavor, be it occupation, hobby, etc that takes so much of our time that we lose sight of what's truly important, should be considered a hazard.

Of course, the best thing is to sit down and figure out what's important to you. Once you have that list, then you can see if you're giving it enough time or not. A lot of people feel like they aren't giving enough time to certain people or activities, but when they really think about it they find that it's not as important as it used to be, or as they think it was.
