Finishing up packing, and hopefully heading out today. For those who haven't yet heard, I got a job in Kennewick, so I'm moving to the tri cities. Last night I went up to Seattle to see both Joe and Johnny's bands play. It was a good show, although the bar crowds tend to be a little too mellow for my taste. This morning I set out early for a run down the skykomish, and for once I decided to grow a set and run boulder drop. Great day on the East Fork of the Lewis yesterday. Easily the most difficult run I've done to date, and the most fun. And yes, I am no longer a waterfall virgin, I ran Sunset Falls (16 feet) twice and Horseshoe Falls (22 feet) once. Would have run horseshoe again, but there's no way to hike back up to the top. Went kayaking up on the skykomish thursday. This time we put in on the north fork, at the index bridge. Despite the less than stellar lines I had before reaching the confluence I thoroughly enjoyed the north fork as a put in. It's far more continuous than the south fork put in above cable drop. So I've got a job now, I'm a management trainee at the west olympia big 5. I've got a car now, bought a 1988 Toyota 4 Runner almost two week ago now. On top of that, I got to go kayaking today (sure, just a nisqually run, but it's still kayaking). Life is good.

Had a pool session at evergreen last night. It was good to get back in the kayak, but I'm still sore today. I guess a month of inactivity will get you pretty out of shape. Hopefully I'll get a car sometime this week and can get back to actually doing stuff. Right now I'm bored and really want to go mountainboarding....

So I guess it's been a while since I posted. I've been in a bit of a rut lately, and I don't really like complaining and forcing other people to put up with my problems.
