Well, the rains have finally hit. Drove down and looked at the Chehalis River yesterday. Both the main chehalis and the west fork looked like fun (they were both running pretty high). I didn't get a good look at Cape Horn rapid (the toughest on the run) but the Covered Bridge rapid looked like a fun one, with a twisty drop around a boulder on ( Read more... )

not planning on running that one yet, just went and scouted it out. I'm thinking the middle kalama on monday. I haven't been on a river since we ran the nisqually back in may.

A lot of relatively entertaining class 2, some scenic gorges, a couple of drops that are up around the class 3 level, and we'll take out before the class 4 on that section. The only section I've run more times is the Wenatchee.
