Yeah that's really sad about the ducks. My roommate from a couple of years ago and I always go to the park and watch and feed the ducks. She told me that ducks mate for life. It's sad at this park because we almost never see male ducks but we always see little hatchlings. We think that there may be a spot to hunt ducks relatively close to the park or something.

Anyway, I don't know if you got my last message but I think it'd be really cool to be penpals, just let me know k?

reminds me of a few months back in a grocery parkng lot, a female mallard was leading four ducklings across the lot and at least 2 drivers nearly hit them, one came real close at 3 times the speed you should do ina parking lot. slowed down 3o feet later, like maybe a passenger told the moron driving what just happened. oblivious, I tell you, going thru life with nary a clue. oh well, many many truely wonderful people as well. got to be patient, ne?

Yes, this is true...(bout good people too) It just is frustrating when you go along time with out meeting some. Or you hang out at a gathering with other greatm people/friends and family and then you go back to a little town mostely inhabited by gomers.

*hugs* I know how you feel. Every time I see an animal killed on the side of the road, this overwhelming sadness washes over me. It's just such a tragic senseless waste.

What you did for that female duck is such a compassionate and well, GOOD thing. I love hearing about other people who care enough to risk themselves even just a little to give respect to others.

As for that guy in the other car, he was probably trying to hit the duck. Some people find that as a thrill, running down something helpless with a car. Hopefully there is a special place in the afterlife for people such as that. - -

Congrats also on the fast hike time!

Thanks about the fast hike time!:) Oh, and I can truly assure you that there is a place reserved in the afterlife for people such as he....If he doesn't learn in this life; He WILL learn in the next realm.

Geez, Court! You don't surprise me anymore with how fast you can get through them woods.

That duck thing is awful. I might joke, "Bratty Kid/Squirrel/Fish FIDDY POINTS!" But I don't mean it. I'm not gonna run over someone's cat. Or hit a random deer that was just crossing the street. That's not...right. Thank goodness there's people like you out there with a big enough heart to make sure that animal's alright.

Yay, COURT!
THANK YOU FOR CARING>>> not enough do!

I came along the hiway just after someone hit a spotted fawn a few weeks ago, and had to stop and jsut move it off the road so it would not get splattered... and it was so soft and tender as I picked it up and held it's broken body in my arms, I just cried.

You will discover that there are MANY who do not care... thank God there are some of us who do!

Yes, thank God for the few, that they my be graced by God to find a way to edgucate the many. The secret good deeds a person does is like a stream of water hidden underground making the ground green.
