First of all, I can't commiserate with you on Lost since I have never seen an episode in my life. However, the Desperate Housewives season finale was freaking amazing! Such a great show.
Speaking of awesome, you HAVE to rent Transamerica. Ali and I watched it and it is phenomenal! For real real, not for play play.
Anyway, who did you hear X-3 is not good from? It doesn't come out until tomorrow....

Meghan and I want to see Transamerica really badly! We're putting it on our Netflix queue.
I check Rotten Tomatoes on, like, a daily basis. Ok, I've only read three reviews from credible critics. But, they have all said that the movie is a lot of style and little substance. I still wanna see it anyway. It's pretty much a popcorn flick, I'm not expecting a truly great film.

Fuck critics. I know I say that a lot but I have very little respect for critics. I took this rhetorical criticism of film class and they said in every review we had to cite at least one critic and I hated it. It was just useless. I really feel that once you become a critic you loose connect with the general viewing audience.
Let's also remember that after seeing Bringing Up Baby, the critics said "Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant would never be anything besides an amusing flash in the pan." Yikes!
Anyway, I love you baby and we will cuddle like fifty time when you get home.

I usually read what the critics have to say, but then I decide for myself whether I like a film or not. I like a lot of movies that critics don't (and I hate a lot of movies that critics like), so I usually take reviews with a grain of salt. However, usually, if critics pan a film across the board for the same reasons, I will wait until the movie comes out on DVD.
I actually was afraid for "X:3" when I saw a clip of the film on youtube. The dialogue was kinda lame. I think reviews help me figure out where my expectation level should be, so it sometimes helps.
Awwww, I agree about Desmond! He's just so...lovely, I don't know. A little crazy, but I'd be the same after having been alone/with the other crazy guy for so long. And definitely has some hotness going for him (the accent, of course, helps)...but overall, the show left me...I don't know, it felt as if I either missed something, or the show was missing something. I was seriously saying the same thing about Jin, Sun, and Sayid. A little glimpse of them after Desmond turned the key and that's it? Come on now.
And I am also in agreeance about the young Sirius! I'm soooo excited to see young Marauders.
and siriusly, remus had better not have a date-rape stache yet, i will be piss0red!
and i also can not comment on Lost b/c i suck and have never seen it, but matthew fox is teh sex, so it cant be all bad....and yes, transamerica was wonderful and i have NO IDEA how Huffman lost the Oscar to Witherspoon.
p.s. critics suck major ass and X3 will be delicious, and Ben Foster as Angel...c'mon now, he's nummy!

I have a rec for you: Swordspoint!!! I am SO IN LOVE with this book right now. Meghan agrees with me that it is completely awesome. It's a fantasy that reads like historical fiction, and it has some of the most charismatic characters ever!!! Also, it is very hot without saying everything...which somehow makes it hotter. If you don't mind that the main relationship is between two men, I would reccommend this book to anyone. GAH!
