Disney World, Here I Come!!!!!

Jun 11, 2006 17:29

Summer has officially begun because there was a party in Brandon's basement. It doesn't count as 'break' if Brandon's basement has not been involved.

Of course, as soon as we see everyone, we leave again. However, I must say that Disney World is a pretty good place to go.

We went to see TWO movies yesterday: A Prairie Home Companion and Cars. ( Read more... )

Meh! Stupid you for going to Disney World right when you get home. You are no longer my friend.

Anyway, I really want to see A Prairie Home Companion. I grew up on Garrison Keillor so basically this is like a big deal. As for Cars I actually thought it was less aimed towards kids than other Disney movies. That was strengthed when listening to the kids around me who didn't get a lot of it or weren't really finding it funny. For example, Monsters Inc. was incredibly designed for kids.

I love Futbol! It is the bestest. The end.

I liked both movies, but Cars just didn't hook me emotionally like all the other Pixar films. But I adored the "One Man Band" short before the movie!

The cast of "Prairie Home" was superb, and I liked the music and everything, and I would definitely reccommend it to anyone, it's just that some things didn't work for me. That's bound to happen in any film, though.

P.S. That's too bad I'm not your friend anymore, 'cause I liked being your friend.

P.P.S. I still need to see "X-3" someday.

Yeah, Brandon and I saw Prairie Home Companion yesterday, and he loved it, of course...being the little folk boy that he is, but i had the same reaction that you did. Dangerous Woman and Guy Noir, although good, were random. I understood that Dangerous Woman was a ghost or something of that nature, but i didnt get it until she told us what the hell she was doing there....and Guy Noir had some funny lines, but he wasnt needed. and Molly (Maya Rudolphs character) drank while preggers...not cool, hehe. Oh, and im all about Lindsay Lohan, you know this, but yeah...worthless character, not only was her little song stupid and she was screaming into the mic, but she was useless too, and if ur gonna do emo...you've gotta do it better than that. but, Cars was amazing!!!!!!!! hehehe

p.s. sorry for rambling, im done i promise!

I have guilty pleasure of watching kids movies. So I think I should go see Cars. I loved Over the Hedge and I have no clue why. Cars seemed kinda dumb to me but I have to see it because I'm really mad about how every reviewer compares it to other Pixar stuff. I mean I don't like it when people can't takes things at face value, for example when someone won't see some movie because they hate an actor that's in it. Lame. So lame. It's irrational. A story is a story. You are to apreciate the art as it is in the moment. I guess that's how I feel about it.. hm..
