now I remember why I wanted to wait so long to tell them. Its pure insanity. My mom woke up at 6am this morning to tell me theres blood in her urine because I've stressed her out so much. oh nadine! your journal doesn't have to be funny all the time! you need to get out how you're feeling and that is good for you!

your parents, especially your mother is being riDICKulous about this. and i hope you know this and remember it everyday. don't let them suck you into view of the world. you are being really strong through all this and i'm proud of you.

only 2 more weeks, you can do it!

I'm a teacher in Brooklyn, New York who came across your journal by accident. (Your blog ended up in a google result list when I was investigating the possibility that a student had plagiarized--don't worry, the student wasn't plagiarizing you, nor does it seem she was plagiarizing at all.) I ended up reading several of your entries and they have made me so sad. I see that you posted this particular one over a year ago, so hopefully your home life has improved since then. In case it hasn't, I wanted to write and say that when you make your way into the world you will surely see that there are many outposts of it that are accepting of different lifestyles. Having grown up in diverse and largely-tolerant New York City and its surrounding areas, I think I often forget how cruel some people can be can be when it comes to what they perceive as "different" or "unacceptable." I'm also not gay myself, so perhaps that helps me be ignorant of how much prejudice still exists. I have to say, though, that I'm appalled that a grown woman would dare ( ... )

Hey thanks for the reply. And taking the time to read my blog. wow, can't believe anybody still would. I really appreciate the understanding and the insight. I agree, with alot of what you said, it made sense. It really did.
