The neighbors across the street were throwing these bikes out, so we snatched them up. (In the neighbors defense, I'm sure they intended them to be picked up, not actually trashed.) They are in need of a little TLC, perhaps new inner tubes, some grease, but are generally quite fine. If you can get here to pick one up, it's yours. TONIGHT ONLY! ( Read more... )

Laura how is life? Did you have a good time with Neal? He said he did! :) That Gent's bike looks quite suave. I have no way to get to Madison tonight. (bummer)
Most likely a caper in the dead of the night will whisk him away. Riding silently through the darkness steadying his new master on his back. Listening to the cool silent breeze whistling through his wise old spokes. And with that faint soft sound comes the start of a new life.

I know how you feel with the "we hired someone else" email. It sucks. Don't worry, you'll find something! (Something always turns up, even if it's not what you were looking for--that's what I've found.)

I'm not interested in taking on more bikes, but I really like the documentation. You should make postcards. Chin up with the job search - there's always a demand for enthusiastic teachers... or so I'm told.
