all day yesterday I couldn't stop "crunchy munchy honey cakes" by The Wiggles from running through my head. Today it is, "Hey dum diddly dum" or something like that. This is what has come of me. . .children's music all day. It could be worse

Lucy mostly likes to sing, she's not crazy about music on the stereo for some reason, sometimes she turns it off. We had one CD for a while--by the Deedle Deedle Dees-a local Brooklyn kid's music band (the lead singer used to teach with me)--that she liked, but it disappeared. I can't find it anywhere.

maybe i can send yall a cd of Nikhil's favorites and see what she thinks - but maybe you dont want that to start. sometimes in the car nikki complains until i put on one of his cd's - yikes.

Our house has this kids song we love. Did you milk my cow? by Sweet Honey and the Rock. Its quite hilarious about a cow getting covered in ticks and dying.

Sidney seems to really be into the basics - twinkle twinkle, row row row, Frere Jacques, roly poly, etc. To keep him calm we sing him Muellenberg County and the Internationale, and Sweet Baby James. These are M.s choices. But god he loves it when we sing. Its quite flattering.

dan and i joke how nikhil is the only person in the world who actually wants to hear us sing. we like the sweet honey song "oh my goodness look at this mess"
