It's kinda early and cold, but I signed up so I could get out of the house. I'm actually sore from what little walking I did yesterday, so that says it's even more important to go. Chips and obedience. I can't think of two words that go together less. We have spoiled this dog beyond reason!

I slept for an hour or so and then my legs woke me up. I put on icy hot and leggings and took a pain pill and I figure if I stay up for 30 minutes or so, I'll be find to go back to bed.

That's always a nice surprise.

We are still having June gloom with the clouds not even clearing out here during the day but for a brief moment. It is a beautiful, beautiful Spring. It's so nice not having to close all the windows and use the air.

Other than that, just reading and hanging out.

But not often. And by reading a couple of posts discovered that sweet, beloved Louie ended her life. I'm devastated. But I guess that doesn't matter much in the long or short run. I know I am not missed there but I wish someone had told me anyway...I loved Louie in my way ( Read more... )

At the display of crosses honoring American dead in Santa Monica, they have had to go to red crosses to represent 10 dead or they wouldn't be able to set up the display.

And Bush still believes he's right.

And, as usual I am just hanging out. I keep staying up too late, then getting up too late the next day. Then just lying around reading or whatever. It's boring. Curt and I never do anything together on weekends--partially due to my ennui and partially because what is there to do besides him going to ride Hustle. You can imagine how much fun ( Read more... )

I was just rereading Rumspringa about Amish kids and one of the saddest things I've ever heard is that little Amish kids form cliques in Amish school and tease the kids they decide are "not cool". Little Amish kids! I mean, how do they decide who's cool and who's not??? It's not like bebe makes Amishwear!
