I'm getting really sick of my family acting like i enjoy them, and thinking i want to spend any more time with them than i have to be. I know i've said it before, and i'll say it again. I cant wait for college ( Read more... )

its not flordia that i mind, i mean its a change of pace and thats always nice, its more the lack of regard for my input on the matter that rubs me the wrong way

I'll be honest, sometimes one's family needs a bit of a smack in the face now and then, an insult, a harsh word, to keep people from going nuts at each other.

I'm not surprised that your mom is popping up the suggestion of OU/OCC/whatever; she'd probably love for you to do that.

I second your mother's motion for OU.. but DON'T live at home. Mason, the dorms here are SOOOOO much fun! I am having an absolute blast. You don't have to go to a major party school to have fun. But if you live on campus here, shoot for East Vandenberg, and if not there, West Vandenberg. We have the most fun out of all the halls. OU kicks ass, buddy, don't snub us.

thanks for saying i'm nice and easy going, my family has a lot of issues, but being away from them (ex at school) puts me in a better mood.

yeah my parents definatly went on the OU kick........don't let it get to you. If it is any consolation, senior year goes by really fast and before you know it your liberated.

I'm not trying to say that OU isn't a good school. It is. But for most people, the reason their parents want them to go to OU is so that they can live at home. If i were to have gone, i know that my parents wouldn't have let me live on campus at a school so close to our house.
