Maybe we can get a federal law passed allowing it.

Eventually.

Funny thing too is that lesbianism isn't even mentioned at all in the bible. Plus not all religions can possibly be against homosexuality. LOL somebody should create a religion where its required then sue because of religous discrimination.

But yeah it sucks. But it can't last forever particularly since our generations don't feel like wasting so much time controling other peoples lives.

True, true.

But such facts don't matter to the bible beaters. We've faced one of 'em. -_-

I can't for the life of me understand people who want to deny two people who love each other the right to marry. As you said, it doesn't affect their lives. And it sure as Hell wouldn't ruin marriage for heterosexual couples.

Ugh, I just hope the day the majority of people come to their senses about this isn't too far off.

Yeah, that's exactly where I am on the matter. Why do these people care what other people do? And why is THIS matter so much more outrageous than all the horrible things that people do to each other everyday?

APPARENTLY LOVE IS EVIL, GOOD TO KNOW!

Our country has a separation of church and state for a reason, and therefore, no matter what a person's religious beliefs, the law should be equal for everyone.

I know a few people who were for Prop 8--not because they don't think homosexuals should be allowed to marry, but because they were worried that the way things were currently stated, churches could lose their tax exemption. No, a religious head is not required to perform a marriage that goes against his/her religion, but apparently if they refused the use of public church property for such a marriage, they could. And that's what tied some of the people I know up. They worried that those people who believe strongly against it (as they have a right to) would still be forced into doing something under the law that went against their beliefs (thus, also going against the separation of church and state). I was against Prop 8, just FYI ( ... )

Oh, I know that it will most likely be legal in all states eventually, despite what people think to believe. And I figured you'd be against it. =)

I just want my rights, dammit.

Just so you know, babe... I have no problems with visiting another state to be married and then move back to Texas with our lovely marriage license all laminated and framed. But that's because I am a rebel at heart and I don't care what people think.

In due time, my dear. Whatever happens, I'll love you anyway <3

Well, it shouldn't matter what other people think.

The right to marry whomever should be a given, rather than something we have to ask for permission for.

I love you too!
